Modern Vintage

Hi Bloggers
I told myself I was not going to upload any more photos that were bad quality. It was a good idea because it forces me to photograph my work properly. However it has taken me way too long to get organised with memory cards, batteries and cameras! Finally got it all ready for a wedding I attended last week and got around to taking some photos today!!!
This first layout was based on the September sketch at Anna's Craft Cupboard. I used the Pink Paislee collection Vintage vogue. It has quite a modern feel for a range called 'Vintage.' It is made up of the cutest palete of pink, lilac, aqua and black. The pale colours remind me of the clothes we wore as little girls so I had to scrap these photos of me and my sister .
These thickers are all glittery which I love and I've added some Kaisercraft sparklets to the embelishments to tie extra pink and glitter across the page. I'm proud of my use of design principles like reptition and visual triangle too. It feels good to be applying some of the things I've learned watching hours of YouTube footage!
This second layout was based on the concept by Shimelle Laine for her March 4x6 Photo Love class. Her style is so me, a little graphic, a little freestyle art. And although there are a heap of very tallented scrapbookers out there, it seems many of them have georgous children to scrap! It's great to see what Shimelle scraps because it is just like the photos I scrap - darker photos from parties, travel photos, self-portraits etc. I get inspiration from everyone, but I feel more confident in scrapping non-kid/family photos knowing other people do to.
I have just ordered heaps of stamps, supplies and photos online so hopefully things get happening soon!

Thanks for stopping by
